This weekend was perfectly filled with a mix of hanging with friends, and with family!
We had a couple of kid playdates, which included meeting up with my favorite neighbourhood Mama’s! We gabbed over coffee, delicious banana bread and cinnamon buns, while our children ran wild and free. I was so thankful to meet up with these girls, as it had been awhile and there was much to catch up on! One is expecting another little baby girl any week now 🙂
We also had one of Colin’s closest buddies, his beautiful (pregnant) girlfriend Shannon, and their son over for dinner! Shannon writes her own blog filled with amazing recipes – check it out here! Their son Jacob is only 4 weeks younger than Ada and the two of them together is too much for words. It took them about an hour to warm up to each other, but once they were fed and able to play, they were hilarious together!! We could only grab a few shots as they were just to quick and silly.
Yesterday we all met up with my Dad, Step-Mom, and some of my step siblings for an amazing brunch at Culina Muttart and had such a nice visit. We then went to our dear friends’ baby gender reveal! It was so cute – they handed everyone a cupcake, and on the count of 3 everyone bit in it and found out what they are having. IT’S A BOY and we couldn’t be happier for them! (My best friend Spenser and I totally guessed right, just for the record!)
Now that I think about it, we had a really busy past few days. But it clearly was the perfect kind of busy. Today was nice and relaxing. A much needed day at home 🙂 We brought Ada’s tent out from hiding and laughed our butts off at her running in and out. Pure joy on her face, and it definitely reciprocated to us! Colin and I have been catching ourselves this past week sharing smiles with each other at all the little things she has been doing! She was extra cute this weekend, and has been supper snuggly with Colin and I. Her newest thing is giving hugs! We melt every single time she goes in for one! And it’s extremely sweet when she extends her arms out when she see’s her Oma and Opa, Grandma and Grandpa, and all her Aunts and Uncles! She’s just so precious. I want to freeze this moment in time.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed this awesome taste of spring if you live in our area.
xoxo Andrea
