HAPPY EASTER!!! What a weekend filled with friends and family, and new traditions! It sadly snowed (pls be our last) so it was chilly. I was so hoping to dust off our bikes and take Ada on her first bike ride…I guess we have to wait a few more weeks. Instead we hightailed it to the pool on Friday to enjoy the heat and humidity, and then did nothing that afternoon. It was so nice just to lay around and veg. Saturday we had our friends over for a chilli and corn bread. Ada was born 2 weeks before her friend Philip and 5 weeks before her friend Ayla. Their moms and I have become such great friends and we spend a lot of time together! The babies are now all at the age where they are walking and babbling at each other. It was seriously so cute watching the three of them stumble around and play!

Today was so fun! We got up and thought it would be cute to make bunny pancakes. Ada spent most of the time on my hip while I prepared everything. She is always so interested in what I am doing when I cook/bake/anything I do in the kitchen – She is always asking to be picked up. It’s pretty darn cute. After our delicious breakfast we got ready for Easter Service. The music at church today was so so beautiful I got the chills listening! There were two trumpets, two violins, a viola and a cello along with the normal choir and organ. It was lovely.

While Ada napped, Colin and I prepared our vegetable dishes for dinner at my Mom’s (glazed carrots and bacon brussel sprouts) and then ‘hid’ the eggs for Ada’s Easter Egg Hunt! We almost died over her reaction to the hunt. She did so well and kept saying “OHHHHH”! It was soooo adorable. Ill never forget it! Lately she’s been saying something that resembles “what’s that” as she points her tiny finger at various objects around while her bright eyes look to you for the answer. She did this after finding each egg! Like melt my heart.

We spent the evening at my Mom’s with all our family and had the best dinner! I mean, who doesn’t love an amazing turkey dinner with all the fixings?! My Mom nailed the turkey this year. I can’t wait for left-overs tomorrow!

I’m back to work tomorrow, but have something to look forward to…Colin and I are taking off for a mid-week get-away to the mountains sans Ada! We are going to get our ski on and we cannot wait to spend some time together!

Hope everyone had a good Easter weekend!

xoxo Andrea
