I can’t believe Christmas was so long ago already! But I’m still playing catch up so bear with me. These are our Christmas pictures – I just love them! Isn’t the back drop just so cool? Also, would it be weird to have these displayed around the house all year round? Please be honest…

Christmas is my favourite time of year. NO I’m not as hard-core as some with a countdown on my phone or anything crazy like that.  I just really take it all in when it gets close. I love Christmas music, Christmas cookies, pictures with Santa, Christmas trees, decorations, dinners with family and friends, Christmas movies, walks through the Legislature with the all the lights… the whole nine yards! We are winter fans, and Christmas is just a holiday that highlights it all! This year we had the added bonus of having our daughter celebrate her very first Christmas. It brought the holiday to a whole new level for Colin and I. I so look forward to more Christmas celebrations as she ages. Each year will bring new experiences and new levels of excitement. And next year I want to start family traditions. Bah! It’s so fun.

We celebrated Christmas with my mom’s side of the family a few days early. We piled everyone into our cozy home. The three of us, Mom, Step-Dad, my Brothers, my Opa, my Uncle and Aunt, Ada’s Tante Janice and her daughter Abby, and we had a fantastic salmon dinner. It was so special. We made so much food; too much food. Watching Ada open gifts for the first time was amazing. She loved the wrapping almost as much as (or more than) the gifts themselves! Kids….

That night, after almost everyone left, my brothers, Colin, Ada and I were picked up by my Dad and whisked to the airport. We were off to where Ada would spend her very first and memorable Christmas…The British Virgin Islands! More on that to come.

xoxo Andrea
